  3. The least disruptive fix: open Settings > Apps > Installed apps, and disable just the Remediation service rather than removing everything. If you prefer the command line, an admin Command Prompt with sc.exe config "Dell SupportAssist Remediation" start= disabled followed by a restart does the same thing.
  4. If crashes continue, or you'd rather remove it entirely: uninstall "Dell SupportAssist Remediation" (or "Alienware SupportAssist Remediation") and "Dell SupportAssist OS Recovery Plugin for Dell Update" together — the second becomes orphaned without the first, so both should go together.
